ASSIST initiated activities in the Republic of Georgia in 2013 with establishment as an official nongovernmental organization (NGO). Slightly smaller than the State of South Carolina, this mostly agrarian country of 5 million located in the Caucasus region of Eurasia has been neglected for generations. While trying to move forward economically, Georgia has been hampered by international conflict in several of it provinces.

ASSIST will be working in both the urban and rural areas of Georgia with programs in:

• sustainable agriculture;
• renewable energy; and
• water and sanitation.

ASSIST’s annual fundraising goal for our Georgia program is $350,000. If you wish to provide financial support or contribute in another manner to ASSIST’s Ecuador program, please click here.
